		<description>Open source offers far more &quot;options&quot; as compared to proprietary solutions which is both - good and bad. As there are many open source solutions available to solve a problem, one can compare and pick up the most appropriate one; but at the same time, comparing those options is a herculean task in itself. For proprietary, usually brand name makes it a lot easier to choose from but again choices are less than open source.
I am not sure if it can be said whether open source is better or proprietary; the only thing that I have realized by thinking over this issue for long time is that &quot;it depends&quot; :)</description>
